This website will save you money on your phone calls to 1890, 1850 and 0818 numbers. Irish consumers are needlessly paying out up to €5 a time to call “low cost” telephone numbers like those beginning 1890 — even though they could get the calls for next to nothing.
This is because many organisations and businesses are encouraging their customers to ring their LoCall 1890, or 1850 Callsave, or 0818 National Call telephone numbers at local call rates costing 4.9c a minute in the daytime and 1.26c off-peak.
But popular mobile and landline phone deals with inclusive minutes exclude calls to LoCall 1890 numbers, Callsave 1850 and national 0818 calls from their minute bundles, hence representing an additional but unnecessary cost to the consumer.
This website will provide Irish consumers with geographical alternative telephone numbers to use instead of the 1890, 1850 and 0818 supplied by Irish Businesses, allowing Irish consumers save some money.
So, if you’re calling from a mobile and use a geographic alternative number instead of a 1890 / 1850 / 0818 number, you can save up to 40c per minute on your calls.
So, save yourself money by using this website on your mobile phone, or on your pc. Say no to 1890 call costs, forget 185o call costs, and say bye bye to 0818 costs. And use this website to do all that, for free.
Thank you!! 🙂
Given the changing circumstances for 1850, 1890, 076 and 0818 numbers on 1 December 2019 (inclusive in allowances or otherwise charged the same as calling a geographic number, from that date onwards) and the requirement for all users of 1850, 1890 and 076 numbers to move to a new telephone number by 1 January 2022 (either an 1800 freephone number, an 0818 non-geographic number, or a geographic number) will sayNOto1890 have a page tracking all of those number changes as they happen (as well as retaining the lists of geographic numbers)?
Here’s the first number change …
Caredoc are replacing the 1850 334 999 number with 0818 300 365. The 1850 334 999 number will remain active until ceased by Comreg, on the 1 January 2022
Here’s the next set of number changes to look out for.
GasNetworks has announced that many of their 1850 numbers will shortly change to 1800 freephone numbers.
The 1850, 1890 and 076 number ranges will cease to exist on 1 January 2022.
All current users of those numbers must change their number before that date.
Users have a choice of a new freephone 1800 number, a new geo-rated 0818 number or an ordinary geographic number.
In use, there are currently at least:
– seven thousand numbers starting 1850,
– nineteen thousand numbers starting 1890,
– twenty-four thousand numbers starting 076.
Is anyone keeping track of number changes? Is there a directory of old and new numbers available anywhere?
